Step 4
The Early Years Wellbeing Program kicks off at the beginning of Term 2, 2026!Â
Developed by early years educators, our session plans are engaging, fun and designed in a way that can be easily adjusted to suit your service, programs and learners. Each child also receives their own Early Years Portfolio full of interactive activities to document their journey.
Families are children’s first and most important educators, so we’ve created multiple opportunities for wellbeing experiences to be shared at home. Beyond Cozy Koala and Community Projects, we also have termly newsletters with practical wellbeing strategies for parents and educators.
Cozy Koala is our key home-to-service initiative and a much loved part of the program (by children and adults).Â
When Cozy visits a home, families engage in GEM experiences and children have the opportunity to share their adventures with their peers.
100% recycled materials
and 100% huggable.
Community projects are fun activities designed to strengthen the connection between your service and the wider community, while also embedding our GEM principles to support wellbeing.
Designed with children, families, educators and service visitors in mind, we provide everything you need to successfully implement each community project.Â
Our suite of fun and engaging digital presentations for children, educators and families help to further embed wellbeing in your service culture and create a shared vocabulary.
Our Early Years Wellbeing Program is centred on the evidence-based principles proven to support the development of resilience and positive mental health.Â
Paying attention to the things we have right now, and not worrying about what we don’t have. We practise this by noticing the positives around us.
Putting ourselves in the shoes of others to feel and see as they do. We practise this by being kind and compassionate towards other people.
Our ability to be present at any given moment. We practise this by slowing down and concentrating on one thing at a time.
Both Inspire and Engage components are delivered together within the program.

The program begins in Term 2 and runs until the end of the year. However, your partnership with The Resilience Project commences when you confirm your place so you can get your service ready to roll out the program, including ordering curriculum resources and engaging in our Leading TRP session (your training for the program).
The program includes 20 session plans which includes 2–5 short activities, designed to complement the service’s play-based program.Â
The session plans and supporting resources are designed so that it can be easily adjusted to suit your service and programs. Educators may choose to complete some or all of the activities for each session depending on their group of children. Activities may be revisited at any time.Â
Each service is allocated a dedicated Early Years Partnership Manager who is there to support you with the implementation of our program at your service.
Our program is available with your Kindy Uplift funding under Priority 2: Social and Emotional Learning. We understand you may not have access to your funding just yet, so please get in touch via [email protected] to chat through the options to ensure you can still begin the program in April.Â
If you’re interested in our program but have already allocated your funding, don’t worry! Get in touch via [email protected] and we can chat through your options.Â
It sure is! Our Early Years Wellbeing Program has been produced to align with the 5 outcomes in the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). All sessions are mapped to the EYLF to promote holistic learning.
The program includes a variety of activities that introduce our evidence-based key pillars of Gratitude, Empathy, Mindfulness (GEM) and Emotional Literacy. Each activity provides an opportunity for children to practise these concepts individually and in groups. Each child will have their own Children’s Portfolio, which is filled with fun and interactive activities to document their journey with the program.
The program also includes many service-to-home initiatives to not only support the development of health habits outside of sessions, but also to support the wellbeing of your whole service community.
The GEM+EL framework is an evidence-based approach that outlines essential concepts, understandings and skills we are expecting students, teachers and families to develop through the program. It ensures there is a clear structure to explore concepts, develop a depth in understanding and make connections.
The framework has a big idea for Gratitude, Empathy, Mindfulness and Emotional Literacy that are consistent from the early years to Year 12. They’re used to organise and provide a guiding focus for all TRP lessons and resources included in the program.
Under each big idea is a key theme and learning opportunity which breaks the bigger idea into smaller, manageable parts that are age appropriate. If the children at your service go on to attend a school implementing our School Wellbeing Program, it is these same principles that underpin each lesson and learning sequence, providing continuity in their learning.
There are many resources embedded in the program to support families, including:
